Brooklyn once again takes on a team they stunned on Saturday. Does this make the Nets a slight underdog or the favorite?

The Brooklyn Nets haven't won three straight since before Christmas.

Tuesday presents a new opportunity to hit that mark. And standing in the way is one of the league's best teams...

But one Brooklyn upset not too long ago.

The Nets face the Detroit Pistons once again, who they stunned on Saturday 107-105. And that was a contest where Brooklyn walked in as a 14-point underdog, plus previously getting smacked by Detroit 130-77 earlier in 2026.

Saturday's game watched Detroit lose a 23-point lead before Brooklyn pulled it off. Pistons head coach JB Bickerstaff claimed a lack of respect for the Nets led to the loss.

"You disrespect the game, it’s going to bite you in the a--. And that’s what happened to us tonight," Bickerstaff bitterly told reporters after taking the loss.

He added how he believed his team went through the motions inside Little Caesars Arena.

"We just stopped moving. I mean, it’s that simple. We’re not a team that should play a ton of isolation basketball. We have guys who are capable, but our strength is when we move people around,” Bickerstaff said. “We just got stagnant."

Is the betting lines still favoring the Pistons by a wide margin, though, for this contest?

Ironically, Detroit enters Barclays as a slightly larger favorite for this one. FanDuel Sportsbook calls the Pistons a 14.5-point favorite. Even DraftKings is predicting a one-sided romp for Detroit, with the outlet placing a 15.5-point line in favor of the Pistons.

Maybe it's the new list of injuries that have impacted the Nets ahead of this one.

Rookie Egor Demin is officially shut down for the rest of the season, per head coach Jordi Fernandez before the Monday night win over the Memphis Grizzlies

“He was dealing with discomfort, and it got worse and worse. We decided to take a look and make sure we can settle it a little bit. We ended up asking for different opinions, and this is what was recommended to us," Fernandez said via Erik Slater of ClutchPoints

But Demin isn't the only significant injury here. Slater revealed Tuesday that Day'Ron Sharpe (left thumb) and Ziaire Williams (illness) are out for this one. Both are huge blows considering they combined for 30 points against Memphis (Sharpe led the way with 19 points).

It's not officially known if Michael Porter Jr. will return, as he sat out with rest management in the Tuesday win. Regardless, Brooklyn has limited scoring options for the Pistons with Sharpe, Williams and Demin all out. Detroit looks ready to avenge that Saturday letdown.

The YES Network will air the action for Nets fans. FanDuel Sports Detroit is broadcasting too for the Pistons audience.
