Saturday's contest at Barclays Center is a tale of two revamped rosters.
The Brooklyn Nets have a newly revised one. They became active at the final hour of the NBA Trade Deadline -- luring in Ochah Agbaji (Toronto Raptors), Hunter Tyson (Denver Nuggets) and Josh Minott (Boston Celtics).
Their opponent, however, became just as active...if not more aggressive.
Trae Young landed in D.C. after a disgruntled period in Atlanta. He's not the only past perennial NBA All-Star here -- with Washington adding Anthony Davis from Dallas too.
So now comes this question: Is everyone playing? Which leads into the betting side of things and where to watch.
Starting with the latter, the YES Network will have cameras locked in on the newcomers plus the usual contributors. Those aforementioned added players are bound to share the floor with the likes of Michael Porter Jr., Egor Demin, Nolan Traore, etc.
The Monumental Sports Network offers viewing via the Washington side -- as the home of Wizards basketball.
NBA League Pass is where fans can watch no commercials ($114.99) or roll with standard ($79.99).
Now with retooled rosters, this means the Wizards hold the massive upper hand here off Davis and Young alone, right?
Problem is they won't play.
Davis is ruled out as of Friday due to "trade pending." On that note, Davis isn't expected to play for the Wizards at all with hand and groin injuries.
Jordi Fernandez has one less thing to worry about in game-planning against the past NBA Finals winner with the Los Angeles Lakers. But will he need to counter Young?
He's another who's not active either. Multiple reports even reveal that Young is likely not going to play much for the rest of the season either due to his own set of ailments.
This game presents a case of depleted trades. More so on the side of the visitors inside Barclays Center.
Yet, it's Washington entering as the favorite here and by a solid margin: 6.5-points per FanDuel Sportsbook.
Bettors clearly show a distrust in a 13-37 team -- let alone one that's a mix of disorganized and youthful.
Washington looks like it'll slightly cover here and win by five.
