Brooklyn's Summer League reserves made the most of their opportunity. With the Nets resting all eight players on NBA contracts, John Ukomadu and Dion Brown led a balanced effort in a 108-90 win over the Thunder to close Las Vegas at 3-2.
The Brooklyn Nets wrapped up their NBA 2K26 Summer League schedule with a 108-90 win over the Oklahoma City Thunder on Sunday afternoon at the Thomas & Mack Center in Las Vegas.
With Egor Dëmin, Mikel Brown Jr., Danny Wolf, Drake Powell, Ben Saraf, Chaney Johnson, Joshua Jefferson and Tyler Bilodeau all getting the day off, Brooklyn had just eight available players for its Summer League finale. The group took advantage of the opportunity, taking control early and never looking back on the way to a 3-2 finish in Las Vegas.
Brooklyn took control early.
Dain Dainja scored Brooklyn's first basket on a layup, then made his presence felt on the defensive end with back-to-back blocks. The Nets forced a 24-second shot-clock violation and later two separate eight-second violations during a dominant opening quarter that set the tone.
After taking a 9-6 lead, Brooklyn put together an 18-0 run to break the game open. John Ukomadu did much of the damage, scoring 14 points in the first quarter while knocking down three 3-pointers. He also finished an and-one in transition, threw down a backdoor dunk, and capped the quarter with another three.
Ben Humrichous added a three-pointer during the run, Aaron Scott converted a steal into a three-point play, and the Nets finished the opening quarter shooting 12-of-19 from the field and 5-of-7 from beyond the arc. They also turned six Oklahoma City turnovers into 18 points while taking a 37-24 lead into the second.
The Thunder opened the second quarter with seven straight points to trim the deficit, but Brooklyn answered right away.
Scott finished a fast-break dunk, Ukomadu came up with a steal that led to another transition basket, and Dion Brown knocked down a three to push the lead back to 15.
Brooklyn continued to get contributions from everyone on the floor. Duke Brennan scored on a putback and later threw down a dunk, Scott attacked the rim for another basket, and Brown added two more field goals as the Nets maintained control.
By halftime, Brooklyn led 60-45.
Ukomadu had 16 points on 6-of-8 shooting through two quarters, while Brown added nine points and four assists. Dainja stuffed the stat sheet with six points, six rebounds, three blocks and two steals in the first half.
The Nets shot 60 percent from the floor before the break and forced 13 Thunder turnovers, turning those mistakes into 26 points. The biggest issue for Brooklyn was taking care of the ball, as it committed 11 first-half turnovers of its own.
Oklahoma City never mounted much of a push after halftime.
Dainja scored on a putback before adding a dunk and another layup in the third quarter. Hunter Sallis got to the basket for a layup, Humrichous connected from three and Brown knocked down another triple as the Nets steadily added to their lead.
Ukomadu closed the quarter with a reverse dunk, sending Brooklyn into the fourth ahead 82-64.
Oklahoma City never got any closer in the fourth quarter.
Ukomadu converted an and-one early in the quarter before scoring again on a tip-in. Scott chipped in with a putback and a fadeaway jumper, Dainja added another second-chance basket, and Dwight Murray Jr. buried a three before scoring four more points late to help put the game away.
Brooklyn and Oklahoma City each scored 26 points in the fourth quarter, allowing the Nets to cruise to the 108-90 victory.
Ukomadu finished with a game-high 23 points, nine rebounds, two steals and two blocks to lead Brooklyn.
Brown recorded a triple-double with 16 points, 10 rebounds and 11 assists, while Dainja added 14 points, eight rebounds, three steals and three blocks.
Scott finished with 15 points, five rebounds and five steals, Sallis and Brennan each scored 12 points, and Murray chipped in 10.
Steven Ashworth led Oklahoma City with 22 points. Jabri Abdur-Rahim added 17, Andrew Holifield scored 14 points to go along with three steals and three blocks, and Bryce Harris finished with 13 points and 10 rebounds.
The win closes the book on Brooklyn's Summer League, with the Nets finishing 3-2 over their five games in Las Vegas.
