The rookie hit a new mark from behind the arc despite Brooklyn losing its 20th game.

The Brooklyn Nets watched Egor Demin try to out-shoot NBA legend Stephen Curry at Barclays Center -- even hitting a new career-best mark.

The rookie banked seven baskets from long range -- but the Golden State Warriors prevailed on the road 120-107 on Monday night.

Demin officially broke his personal mark of threes at the 7:30 mark of the fourth quarter.

Demin, playing against the multiple NBA champion sharpshooter and the 2010s dynasty, scored 23 points. That output catapulted him to the second-leading scorer on Brooklyn's side.

Michael Porter Jr. once again delivered the top scoring output from an individual standpoint -- dropping 27 on GSW. Porter also executed a poster dunk with his left hand in viscous fashion.

Porter shot 10-of-17 from field goal range and hit five shots from behind the arc. He collected nine rebounds -- which nearly became his seventh double-double of the season. He and Nic Claxton led the way in steals with three on the defensive side.

Only "MPJ" and Demin became the only Nets players to scale past the 20-point mark. Yet they weren't the only Nets players to surpass the 10-point mark.

Claxton scored 15 off 7-of-9 shooting and pulled down nine rebounds The long-armed Claxton was a force near the hoop too -- blocking three attempts. Noah Clowney (11 points) and Cam Thomas (13) rose as the last Nets players to reach double figures. The latter was fresh off dropping 30 points in 20 minutes against the Minnesota Timberwolves

Nolan Traore rose as another impressive rookie despite the loss -- scoring nine points through a trio of threes. Traore, who more than a week ago finetuned his game with the Long Island Nets in the G-League, earned 15 total minutes.

Terence Mann (four points), Day'Ron Sharpe (three) and Drake Powell (two) were the last Brooklyn players to score.

Curry led the visitors with 27 points including hitting five three-pointers. Fellow veteran Jimmy Butler scored 21 points. Four different Warrior players scored 10 or 11 points off the bench -- with Trayce Jackson-Davis leading through 11 points. He also blocked two baskets.

Brooklyn entered the arena on an impressive December run of going 7-3 during the final month of the year. The Nets ignited on defense to spark the turnaround. But GSW becomes the first team since the Utah Jazz on Dec. 4 to surpass the 119-point mark against these Nets -- who are now 10-20 overall.
