The Brooklyn Nets are currently in a position to win the Cameron Boozer Sweepstakes. They are playing for a high lottery pick and will not win many games this season. Saturday night they have the Milwaukee Bucks on tap for a game they are big underdogs in. They should be competitive qt the onset.

The Cameron Boozer Sweepstakes is still alive and well in Brooklyn, New York.

And apparently an extended period of rest did nothing for the Nets, losers of three straight games after a 115-103 home defeat to the Philadelphia 76ers less than 24 hours ago.

The Nets have lost six times by 10+ points at home.

But now Brooklyn (3-15), losers of three straight games, is left to pick up the pieces as 11.5 point underdogs against the Milwaukee Bucks (8-12) Saturday night.

Tip-off is at 7:30 p.m. (ET).

The Nets TV broadcast is, as per usual, on Yes Network with Ryan Rucco - play-by-play - and Sarah Kustok - color analyst- on the call.

The Nets, playing on the second night of a back-to-back, in addition to their second back-to-back of the week, are 0-9 on their home floor - matching the Philadelphia 76ers’ 0-9 start at home for the worst since the 2014-15 season.

Speaking of the 76ers, as far as the Nets are concerned: Brooklyn, which never led last night, got down by 21-points in the second period before making it 63-48 at the half.

Unfortunately, that’s as close as Brooklyn would come to snapping their current losing streak, as the Sixers sped away in the NBA Cup group play tilt to take the (-290) money line cash.

After covering three big spreads as underdogs, and going 1-2 overall thanks to a win as 14-point underdogs in Boston vs. the Celtics, the Nets are in danger of losing their fourth straight game overall.

The Bucks, (-11.5) favorites vs. the Nets after losing a competitive, 118-109 contest to the New York Knicks Friday night, will be playing their third game in four nights this evening. (Milwaukee lost to the Miami Heat on Wednesday night.)

Milwaukee is a heavy money line favorite vs. Brooklyn.

Milwaukee, which trailed just 57-56 at halftime to the Knicks, got 30 points, 15 rebounds and 8 assists from star forward Giannis Antetokounmpo, while Kyle Kuzma added 20 points in the loss.

For Antetokounmpo, it was his 157th-career 30-10-5 game, which is now second most in NBA history.

The over/under total is 219.5.

In this very space, thought the Nets would be well-rested and ready to go last night, Brooklyn was outplayed from start to finish by the 76ers — as just a 7.5 point home ‘dog, mind you.

Now, they’re playing a back-to-back against an opponent that has logged plenty of game action in recent days, so who knows what the Bucks will look like by tip-off time tonight. The best play, in this instance, might be no play at all.
