Rookie Egor Demin helped Vince Carter's team clinch the Rising Stars championship, showcasing his potential along the way.

The Brooklyn Nets received some representation at 2026 NBA All-Star Weekend in the form of rookie guard Egor Dëmin, who got some time to shine in the Rising Stars event.

Dëmin was a member of Team Vince, led by former Nets great and Hall of Famer Vince Carter. He'd score a total of four points between the two games that the team played in the tournament-style Rising Stars event, but his presence eventually led to a good result.

By the end of the night, Team Vince would be holding up the championship trophy as winners of the event after defeating Team Melo (led by Carmelo Anthony) in the final round by a score of 25-24.

After the win, both Carter and Dëmin stood side-by-side for a picture with their hard-earned trophy in hand. Dëmin finished the championship game with two points, two rebounds and one blocked shot to assist his group of rookies and sophomores.

Philadelphia 76ers rookie guard VJ Edgecombe came away with the Rising Stars MVP trophy for his efforts in both the semi-final and championship games, scoring 17 points and 6 points, respectively.

Though he provided welcome contributions on the court for Carter's group of elite young talents, Dëmin has also used the All-Star break to catch up with even more NBA legends and Hall of Famers, including 3-time NBA champion Dwyane Wade.

Dëmin signed a shoe deal with Li-Ning and Wade's 'Way of Wade' brand in Oct. 2025, and the 13-time All-Star had nothing but positives to say about the Nets' No. 8 overall pick in the 2025 NBA Draft while shooting promotional materials.

"Obviously we've been big fans of Egor for a while," Wade shared.

"We're lucky to have him in our brand representing the Way of Wade 12's on the court. Just as a person, you get a chance to meet his family (and) his close people around him, you get this essence of Egor."

"I'm so excited for him, watching him throughout the year, watching him develop, watching him grow, watching him be coached and allowing the coach to coach him."

The sharpshooting guard was not able to display all of the tools he possesses on the offensive end during the Rising Stars event, but it's safe to say that he's being carefully watched by incredible figures within the association.

Heading into the All-Star break, Dëmin averaged 10.8 points, 3.3 assists and 3.1 rebounds while knocking down 39.6% of his looks from three-point range in his first 46 appearances with the Nets.
