The Brooklyn Nets’ NBA 2K27 ratings are officially here, but not every number feels right. From Egor Dëmin and Day’Ron Sharpe to Mikel Brown Jr. and Julius Randle, here’s a look at which Nets players may be underrated.

The Brooklyn Nets' NBA 2K27 ratings have officially been revealed, and there are definitely some numbers that stand out.

Two Nets players landed inside the top 100 overall players in NBA 2K27. Michael Porter Jr. leads the team with an 85 overall rating, which ranks No. 49 in the NBA, while Julius Randle is No. 73 at 83 overall.

Porter Jr.'s rating feels pretty fair. He was an 82 overall in NBA 2K26, so the three-point increase to 85 makes sense after his first season in Brooklyn.

Randle, on the other hand, is a different story.

The veteran forward dropped from an 86 overall in NBA 2K26 to an 83 in NBA 2K27. I'm not sure that drop makes much sense. If anything, I'd have Randle at an 85 overall. He's still one of the most accomplished players on this roster, and having him at just 83 feels a little low.

But Randle isn't the only Net whose rating feels too low.

Egor Dëmin is probably the biggest example. The second-year guard is only a 76 overall, even though I'd have him as the third-best player on Brooklyn's roster right now. Dëmin was a 72 in NBA 2K26, so the four-point jump is nice, but I think he should be closer to a 78.

Day'Ron Sharpe is another one that really caught my attention. Sharpe was a 78 overall last year and is now down to 75. That's a three-point drop that I don't really understand, especially after he put together the best season of his career. He should be going up, not down. I'd have him at least at 78.

Noah Clowney is a 76 after being a 73 last year, which is a good jump, but I'd still give him another point and put him at 77.

Terance Mann also feels a little low at 74. He was a 75 in NBA 2K26, so dropping a point doesn't seem necessary. I'd keep him at 75.

Then there are some of the younger players.

Mikel Brown Jr. is a 74 overall, but I think 76 would be more appropriate. Josh Minott is also a 74 after being a 71 last year. I like the three-point jump, but I'd go a little higher and give him a 76.

Moritz Wagner is another player who went down, dropping from 75 to 74. I don't think that's a huge deal, but I'd still have him at 75.

Drake Powell went from a 70 to a 72, which is a nice improvement, but I'd give him another point and put him at 73.

Chaney Johnson might have one of the stranger changes. He was a 73 in NBA 2K26 and is now a 71. I don't see why he needed to drop two points, and I'd have him somewhere around 72 or 73.

Joshua Jefferson is rated 70, while Tyler Bilodeau is at 69. Both feel like players who could reasonably be in the 71-72 range.

Not every rating is a problem, though.

Keon Ellis staying at 76 feels right. Nolan Traore made one of the biggest jumps on the roster, going from a 70 to a 76, and that feels like a fair increase. Danny Wolf went from 71 to 75, while Ben Saraf jumped from 69 to 73.

The three-point ratings also look pretty good across the board, so that's not really where my complaints are. It's mostly the overall ratings.

Looking at the entire roster, I don't see a single player and think they're clearly rated too high. If anything, it's the opposite. There are a lot of Nets players who I think should be one or two points higher.

Here's how I'd have some of the ratings: Randle at 85, Dëmin at 78, Sharpe at 78, Clowney at 77, Mann at 75, Mikel Brown Jr. at 76, Minott at 76, Wagner at 75, Powell at 73, Johnson at 72-73, Jefferson at 71-72, and Bilodeau at 71-72.

Obviously, these ratings can change throughout the NBA 2K27 cycle. Players will get boosts and drops as the season goes along, and some of these younger Nets could make a pretty big jump if they have strong seasons.

For now, though, it feels like NBA 2K27 is being a little too harsh on Brooklyn.

There are some good jumps here, especially for Traore, Dëmin, Wolf and Saraf, but several players deserved a little more love when these ratings were handed out.
