Three former Brooklyn Nets remain on the market, and one of them tops Bleacher Report’s entire list. Here’s where Cam Thomas, Ochai Agbaji, and Bruce Brown Jr. rank among the NBA’s top remaining free agents.

The Brooklyn Nets have already made plenty of moves this offseason, but three former players remain among the NBA’s top free agents still looking for their next opportunity.

Bruce Brown Jr. was the highest-ranked former Net, coming in at No. 2 overall. Ochai Agbaji was ranked No. 5, while Cam Thomas came in at No. 10.

Thomas is coming off a season that saw him go from Brooklyn to Milwaukee.

The Nets re-signed Thomas to his qualifying offer last offseason, but his time in Brooklyn lasted only part of the 2025-26 season. As the franchise shifted its focus toward developing its young roster, Thomas was let go and later joined the Milwaukee Bucks.

Thomas appeared in 42 games between Brooklyn and Milwaukee, averaging 13.5 points per game. That was a significant drop from the 24.0 points per game he averaged with the Nets the previous season.

His ability to score has never really been in question, though.

Bleacher Report's Eric Pincus described Thomas as a professional scorer while pointing out that teams remain skeptical about whether his style of play can contribute to winning basketball. Pincus noted that Thomas could still get another NBA opportunity, although playing overseas could become an option if he doesn't find the right fit.

Agbaji, meanwhile, is coming off his first season with the Nets after being acquired from the Toronto Raptors during the 2025-26 campaign.

The 26-year-old struggled from three-point range overall last season, shooting just 26.6 percent from deep. However, his shooting improved after joining Brooklyn, as he connected on 34.9 percent of his three-point attempts with the Nets.

Agbaji also brings defensive versatility and a 6-foot-5 frame, giving him a chance to find a role as a reserve guard on another NBA roster. Bleacher Report believes he could eventually find a spot, although he may have to begin with an Exhibit 10 contract and potentially spend some time in the G League.

The third former Net on the list is Brown.

Brown returned to the Denver Nuggets last season after previously playing an important role on the team's 2022-23 championship squad. He shot 38.5 percent from three that season and has established himself as a versatile role player who can defend, make plays, and contribute without needing the ball in his hands.

Bleacher Report ranked Brown second among the remaining free agents, though Denver's luxury-tax situation could make a reunion more complicated.

With training camp approaching, all three former Nets are still waiting to find out where they will begin the 2026-27 season.

Thomas is looking for another team willing to bet on his scoring ability, Agbaji hopes his defensive skill set and improved shooting can earn him a roster spot, and Brown remains an experienced option for teams seeking a versatile veteran who has already played a key role on a championship team.
