Michael Porter Jr. sat down with Sky Bri for a revealing conversation about stepping away from social media, finding her values, navigating relationships, and entering a new chapter of her life.
Brooklyn Nets star Michael Porter Jr. recently sat down with Sky Bri for a conversation that covered a lot more than her life on the internet.
The latest episode of Porter’s Curious Mike podcast gave Sky a chance to talk about a side of herself that fans do not always get to see, including her struggles with social anxiety, her changing relationship with fame, dating, and what she wants out of life.
One of the biggest topics was Sky’s decision to step away from social media.
Sky revealed that she recently spent seven months away from social media after realizing that the attention she once chased was no longer giving her the same fulfillment. After years of building a massive online following, she said she reached a point where views, comments, and followers simply were not making her happy anymore.
Instead, she decided to take a step back and spend more time working on herself.
Sky also opened up about what she was like before becoming famous. She struggled with social anxiety growing up and was extremely shy in school. She eventually became more comfortable with herself, but said she is still naturally introverted and struggles with things like small talk.
That might come as a surprise considering how comfortable she appears in interviews and online. Sky said she is often the shyest person in the room and would much rather have a deeper conversation with someone than make small talk.
Porter also asked about Sky’s approach to dating and what she looks for in a partner.
Sky said she values someone open-minded, emotionally intelligent, and nice. Money is not a major factor for her either. She said a potential partner does not need to be as wealthy as she is, but she wants someone who can stand on his own and is motivated to build something for himself.
She also emphasized the importance of being able to connect beyond physical attraction.
For Sky, the difference between love and lust comes down to whether someone actually wants to know her as a person. She said someone who genuinely cares will want to have meaningful conversations, ask questions, and spend time together without everything revolving around physical attraction.
The conversation also touched on Sky’s personal values.
After spending years chasing money, fame and followers, she said she has worked to figure out what actually matters to her. She listed empathy, honesty and adventure as three of her biggest values.
Sky also said she wants to have a family someday, although she is not at a point where she feels ready to seriously think about having kids. She wants to find the right partner and get married first, while continuing to work on herself.
Looking ahead, Sky said she wants to take things slowly as she returns to the public eye. One of her biggest interests right now is getting into car content, something she has a genuine passion for.
The episode gave Porter’s audience a chance to see Sky outside of the image she has built online. Much of the conversation centered on where she is now rather than what made her famous in the first place.
For Sky, this next chapter seems to be less about chasing the next viral moment and more about figuring out who she wants to be.
