After leading an undefeated regular season with elite perimeter shooting, this versatile Redhawks guard brings his 42.7% clip from deep to Brooklyn for a high-priority pre-draft workout.
We are closing in on the opening round of the 2026 NBA Draft, and the Brooklyn Nets have continued to schedule pre-draft workouts with NBA hopefuls.
We at NetsRoundtable will continue to hash out the remaining profiles on certain players projected to go later in the draft, most recently covering Miami guard Tre Donaldson, and BYU big man Keba Keita.
In this profile, I will highlight Miami (OH) guard Peter Suder, who was one of six players who worked out with Brooklyn this past week.
Mid-Major Domination
After a flawless 31-0 regular season, Miami became one of four programs to enter March Madness undefeated in the last 20 years.
Suder was the Redhawks' top scorer during their historic regular season, averaging 14.8 points per game.
He was also one of Miami's top rebounders and playmakers, while knocking down 42.7-percent of his 3-point attempts.
In his top shooting display of the season, Suder made 7-of-10 attempts from deep in a double-overtime victory over Buffalo, scoring 37 points to keep his team's perfect season in check.
The following game, Suder once again came through in overtime, scoring 27 points to go along with 10 rebounds, eight assists, and three steals to fend off Kent State.
After returning to the Big Dance for the first time since 2006, Suder and the Redhawks advanced out of the First Four, knocking off SMU.
Despite losing to Tennessee in the following round, Suder scored 27 of the Redhawks' 56 total points, shooting 58.3-percent from the field.
Gamer
As his varied stat lines show, Suder does what it takes to win, whether that means taking a backseat and playmaking for his teammates, or taking it upon himself to score, like he did against the Volunteers.
Suder is also a smart defender, averaging over one steal per game in all four years of his collegiate career.
Areas For Improvement
While Suder can certainly knock down the 3-point shot, his finishing at the rim and touch from 12-15 feet should be a focus for him.
At the next level, defenders will likely be instructed to run him off the line, meaning his secondary moves hold more value.
Free throws were also a struggle at times for Suder, as he improved in shooting percentages across the board excluding the charity stripe (73.4-percent).
Draft Projection
Suder likely won't hear his name called within the top-60 picks, making him a high-priority UDFA prospect.
On ESPN's big board, Suder is ranked as the No. 81 overall player in the class.
Are Nets a Fit?
For Brooklyn, who struggled to consistently find perimeter shooting last season, Suder would become one of the top marksman on the team.
