The Brooklyn rookie put the Golden State legend Draymond Green on a poster with his thunderous dunk. Drawing these types of reactions.
The Brooklyn Nets fell apart late against the Golden State Warriors despite an epic defensive night in the three-point loss.
And despite Ben Saraf sparking reactions for what he did against Draymond Green.
Known for his consistent defense, the four-time NBA champion Green landed on the wrong end of Saraf's dunk. He even finished with his left hand, a rare sight for the league and for bigs like Saraf.
That moment got his Brooklyn teammates jumping in glee and wowed by Saraf's actions. Again, Green is annually one of the harder defenders to dunk against.
But what were some of the other notable reactions for the viscous throwdown?
Saraf's head coach Jordi Fernandez emerged as one who reacted after the game. Sounds like the moment was just how Fernandez drew it up for Saraf.
“I wanted the ball in [Ben's] hands. I wanted him to touch the paint. I mean, seven assists tonight, 5-for-9 from the field. He was aggressive, and the play before he just had an incredible dunk. That was the thought process,” Fenrnadez said of the final play with reporters postgame.
He wasn't the only reaction in that moment.
"Throw it down Ben!!" was what the Nets' X account (formerly Twitter) posted in all caps.
"The rookie really did that!" was what Courtside Buzz posted on its X account.
Saraf also got a "sheesh" from Nets insider for ClutchPoints Erik Slater. He also spoke with Slater about the moment after taking the 109-106 loss.
“I feel like every time that I'm in the right mindset of going aggressive to the rim and being under control, something good comes out of it. So I just need to stick to that mindset,” the rookie said afterward.
The moment becomes the newest highlight for the Israeli talent. His other came more recently against the Portland Trail Blazers more than a week ago: Sharing the same floor with fellow players of Israeli descent Danny Wolf and Deni Avdija.
Saraf has earned new minutes amid the injury pileup. The Nets remain without lead scorer Michael Porter Jr. due to his bad ankle. Wolf is also out with a similar injury. Fellow rookie Egor Demin is dealing with a foot ailment and has been shut down for the remainder of the season.
