Brooklyn is vying for a high NBA Draft pick come June. Lots of future options for the Nets will take the floor Thursday, for the NCAA Tournament.
Most Brooklyn Nets players experienced this time of year: Sitting though Selection Sunday and awaiting their March Madness fate.
Danny Wolf (Michigan) and Egor Demin (BYU) did this last year. Now the 2026 version of the 68-team field presents a reason for the Nets to tune in.
A future Nets teammate of both will be in action between Thursday and Friday. Here's who the likes of general manager Sean Marks, head coach Jordi Fernandez and company can watch.
Duke Has Early Thursday Contest
The Blue Devils come with Cameron Boozer as their rising top pick candidate come June -- including for the Nets.
Boozer's stock exploded after dominating against previous No. 1 Michigan earlier in March. He's bringing 22.5 points per game in tow.
Siena is the opening round foe for Duke, set for Thursday at 11:50 a.m. PT. Boozer and the Blue Devils will have the home crowd on their side as the game will be played in Greenville, South Carolina.
Houston with Kingston Flemings has Thursday Spotlight too
Flemings is another prized freshman sparking first overall pick chatter. What's certain is he'll land inside the top 10 if he chooses to declare.
Flemings doesn't have the scoring average BYU's AJ Dybantsa possesses. But he plays for a higher seeded team envisioning a return to the national title game under legendary head coach Kelvin Sampson. His Cougars fell to Florida one year ago with the national title on the line.
Flemings and Houston gets Big Sky champion Idaho on Thursday at 7:10 p.m. PT inside Oklahoma City's Paycom Center.
Kansas and Darryn Peterson Takes Floor on Friday
There are Nets fans still envisioning Peterson coming to Brooklyn. The freshman has intrigued with his rim attacking potential. Though he's battled late season ailments and cramps toward the end of the regular season.
Still, he's one of the intriguing freshmen for this tourney. And KU gets a first-time March Madness qualifier Cal Baptist.
The Friday contest inside San Diego's Viejas Arena is set for 6:45 p.m. PT. tipoff in the East Regional.
AJ Dybantsa, BYU heading to Friday
AJ Dybantsa remains the projected top pick ahead of June and a potential future Net. He's even taken in a Nets game this season as a fan.
He's become everything pundits and fans envisioned when he arrived to Provo, Uta., as a prized five-star talent and brings the stardom to the floor. So when will he take the floor with the Cougars?
Dybantsa and BYU will face the winner of Texas and North Carolina State, with those teams playing on Tuesday. The Cougars face the winner on Thursday at 4:25 p.m. PT inside Portland's Moda Center for the West Regional.
