Hint: This talent one NBA Draft expert identified is a Big 12 star, but it's not Darryn Peterson of Kansas. So who is it?

It's no secret that NBA analysts and fans believe AJ Dybantsa of BYU is a potential gamechanger for the Brooklyn Nets

Same with Darryn Peterson of Kansas -- who's dominating in the Big 12 and sparking his own Nets/NBA Draft lottery chatter.

One NBA Draft scout and insider, however, says he's overheard the franchise taking interest in a more "unheralded" name to know ahead of June's draft.

Corey Tulaba spoke with ClutchPoints' Erik Slater to name drop one talent who's rising on boards -- and is reportedly on the Nets' radar.

"A name that I think is really important to monitor from Nets fans from what I heard across the league is Kingston Flemings of Houston. That's a name I've heard the Nets are interested in," Tulaba said on his appearance with Locked on Nets

Flemings is a breakout freshman in a class featuring the BYU sensation, the Kansas standout and also North Carolina star Caleb Wilson. All three have been mentioned as names who can comprise the top five selections in the draft.

The point guard for UH, however, has raised his stock under the legendary head coach Kelvin Sampson.

"He's been incredible this year. He was kind of unheralded and he's also going to a veteran Houston Cougars team -- so it was 'is he going to play? Or is he going to be a sophomore guy?' He's just blown the doors off," Tulaba said to Slater.

The scout has grown impressed with Flemings' intangibles and athletic traits, even comparing him to a past NBA Most Valuable Player from the early 2010s era.

"His athleticism is crazy. Stylistically, he reminds me of what if Derrick Rose wasn't built like a football player and jumped like an Olympic gymnastic competitor? Still crazy athletic and that's kind of his playing style," Tulaba explained. "That first step is insane."

Tulaba isn't the only one high on Flemings.

"Dynamic athlete who puts a ton of pressure on the paint with his speed and athleticism," was how Slater described the UH star. "And it also seems like he's a pretty decent passer. He can shoot the ball at a pretty high level. All those things, in conjunction, makes since for the Nets."

The counterargument from fans, though, is that Egor Demin and Nolan Traore look built more for Flemings' point guard spot. All the more reason why most fans want to see Dybantsa or Peterson in the Brooklyn uniform. Yet Slater presented his own rebuttal.

"Egor's not a point guard in my opinion," Slater said. "And that's the beauty of him because it's now how you can play him. Kingston Flemings is a guy who, I understand why they can be high on him."
