Al Horford will likely be a Hall of Famer one day.

Despite turning 39 this past summer, he is coming off a productive year with the Boston Celtics.

This week, ESPN's Shams Charania reported the news that Horford is signing with the Golden State Warriors.

Via Charania: "BREAKING: Free agent Al Horford has committed to a multi-year deal with the Golden State Warriors, agent Jason Glushon tells ESPN. After seven of the past nine years in Boston and winning the 2024 title, Horford will enter his 19th NBA season as the Warriors' starting center."

Many people reacted to the news on social media.

Shane Young: "Al Horford finished his Celtics career playing alongside Jaylen Brown for 519 games and Jayson Tatum for 477 games.

The two teammates Horford has spent the most time with during his NBA career.

He now joins the longest-tenured duo in the league, Steph and Draymond."

@realapp_: "They let the Warriors get THIS???"

@statmuse: "Al Horford leads all centers in playoff threes.

Steph Curry leads all players in playoff threes.

    Teaming up."

Keith Smith: "The phrasing that Al Horford has committed to a multi-year deal with the Warriors still indicates that the Jonathan Kuminga situation needs to resolve before the deal will be signed.

Wednesday, October 1 is the deadline for Kuminga to sign the qualifying offer. Resolution soon."

Horford helped lead the Celtics to the 2024 NBA Championship over the Dallas Mavericks.

He has made five All-Star Games with the Celtics (and Hawks).
