The Celtics traded Jaylen Brown to Philadelphia for Paul George and four draft picks, ending his decade-long run in Boston.

The Boston Celtics didn’t shy away from a shocking move just hours into free agency and hours after targeting center Mitchell Robinson from the New York Knicks when they decided to trade superstar guard/forward Jaylen Brown to the Philadelphia 76ers.

He will now head to the Eastern Conference rival in exchange for forward Paul George and two first round and two second round picks.

That ends a 10-year tenure for Brown in Boston and a nine-year tenure of him alongside Jayson Tatum in the blockbuster deal.

It comes after a failed pursuit by the Celtics for former Milwaukee Bucks superstar Giannis Antetokounmpo, which may have kicked things off on their shopping around of Brown, who never requested out of Boston.
