Kyrie Irving is going into his fourth season as a member of the Dallas Mavericks.

However, the future Hall of Famer will miss the start of the year after suffering an injury during the middle of the 2024-25 season.

On Monday, the Mavs held media day (and Irving spoke about his recovery).

Irving: "It's been up and down emotionally. Just because of the good days where you make progress and some other days where you want to push your body to the limit. But you can't."

Irving finished the 2024-25 season with averages of 24.7 points, 4.8 rebounds, 4.6 assists and 1.3 steals per contest while shooting 47.3% from the field and 40.1% from the three-point range in 50 games.

The Mavs lost to the Memphis Grizzlies in the play-in tournament, so they missed the 2025 NBA playoffs (after making the 2024 Finals).

Irving has also spent time playing for the Cavs, Celtics and Nets since being selected with the first pick in the 2011 NBA Draft out of Duke.
