Pau Gasol is one of the best forwards in recent NBA history.
The Hall of Famer is most known for his time with the Los Angeles Lakers where he helped Kobe Bryant win two NBA Championships.
On Wednesday, his former head coach (Phil Jackson) is celebrating a birthday.

One person who sent a message to Jackson was Gasol.
His post (via X) had over 3,000 likes and 60,000 impressions in five hours.
Gasol wrote: "Happy 80th Birthday, Coach @PhilJackson11 ! I'll always be grateful for your wisdom and the impact you’ve had on me, both on and off the court 💜💛"
Gasol also spent time playing for the Memphis Grizzlies, San Antonio Spurs, Chicago Bulls and Milwaukee Bucks over 18 NBA seasons.
His career averages were 17.0 points, 9.2 rebounds, 3.2 assists and 1.6 blocks per contest while shooting 50.7% from the field and 36.8% from the three-point range in 1,226 games.
He also appeared in 136 NBA playoff games (122 starts).
As for Jackson, he won 11 titles (as a coach) with the Bulls and Lakers.
