The Los Angeles Lakers will hold media day on Monday.
Before the day, the team announced that they had waived two players (Tevian Jones and Eric Dixon).
Via Trevor Lane of Lakers Nation: "Lakers announce they have signed Anton Watson and Nate Williams. I’m told both players will participate in camp. In corresponding moves, they have waived Tevian Jones and Eric Dixon."
Williams had spent the last two seasons playing for the Houston Rockets.
He finished the 2024-25 season with averages of 3.3 points per contest while shooting 43.5% from the field.
Meanwhile, Dixon is coming off an outstanding season of college basketball where he averaged 23.3 points per contest (for Villanova).
The Lakers finished the 2024-25 season with a 50-32 record, which had them as the third seed in the Western Conference.
However, they had a tough ending to their year when they lost to Anthony Edwards and the Minnesota Timberwolves in the first round of the NBA playoffs (in just five games).
