The New York Knicks have been sensational this postseason as they continue to close in on the NBA Finals with poise and command. That was the feeling in their dominant Game 3 win over the Cleveland Cavaliers on Saturday in a 121-108 victory to take a 3-0 series lead. Now, they can taste the finish line and are one win away from their first NBA Finals appearance since 1999. It sets up a pivotal, must-win Game 4 on Monday in Cleveland.
A dynamic duo emerged in the contest as stars Mikal Bridges and OG Anunoby set a tone and put the team on their backs. Bridges finished with 22 points while Anunoby added 21 points and seven rebounds in an impressive performance that dispelled any notions of him remaining affected by a right hamstring injury. They were critical in disrupting the Cavs from the 3-point line, hitting just 12 of 41.
Then, the duo handed things off to Jalen Brunson to slam the door on Cleeland in the fourth quarter, which is in line with their pattern of winning through this postseason in an impressive 10-game win streak. Brunson had a game-high 31 points – 21 of them came in the second half. The dominant win was historic, as New York now sits as the eighth team in league history to win five straight in the postseason by 10-plus points as they look to complete their series sweep.

Nine of their 11 playoff wins were by double digits. The two losses were by a total two points. They’ll look to close in on the vulnerable Cavs with stars rising to the occasion in big moments and a bench performing like it needs to for a championship run.
