
Sharife Cooper appeared in 13 NBA games for the Atlanta Hawks during the 2021-22 season.
This week, Michael Scotto of HoopsHype reported the news that Cooper will sign a two-way deal with the Washington Wizards.
Via Scotto: "The Washington Wizards have signed Sharife Cooper to a two-way contract. Cooper joins Tristan Vukcevic and Jamir Watkins on two-way contracts for Washington."
Cooper was the 48th pick in the 2021 NBA Draft out of Auburn.
He has also spent a lot of time playing in the G League.
Via NBA G League (on May 4, 2024): "Sharife Cooper proved to be one of the best PLAYMAKERS in the G! The @ChargeCLE floor general ranked 10th in the league with a career-high 8.0 APG. He dished out thirteen games of 10+ AST including a season-high 15 dimes vs. the Nets."
The Wizards are coming off a season where they were the 15th seed in the Eastern Conference with an 18-64 record.
They last made the NBA playoffs during the 2021 season when Russell Westbrook was still on the roster.
