Los Angeles Lakers star LeBron James has missed three straight games and his status is up in the air ahead of Thursday night.

While star LeBron James has missed three straight games, that hasn’t seemed to matter to the Los Angeles Lakers as they’ve won three straight and will look to build on that on Thursday night against the Chicago Bulls. The Lakers have had a hot streak, winning six of their last seven and are entering Thursday sitting fourth in the Western Conference standings with a 40-25 record. Los Angeles is coming off a 120-106 victory over the Minnesota Timberwolves while the Bulls are coming off a 130-124 win over the Golden State Warriors. They have a little more to fight for sitting at 12th in the East with a 27-38 record. So, the motivation is there on both sides, and the Lakers could certainly use James back.

It’s not clear whether that’ll be on Thursday night, as James was listed as questionable with a right hip contusion and left foot arthritis, stemming from a tough fall against the Denver Nuggets back on March 5. James is averaging 21.4 points, 5.6 rebounds, and 7 assists in 44 games this season. James had gone through his pregame shooting routine on Tuesday night against the Timberwolves, but felt like he needed to get some more treatment on his left foot before feeling game ready, according to JJ Redick.

Here is the full story from Lakers Roundtable writer Jeremy Lambert on James’ status and the rest of the injury report ahead of Thursday’s contest.

The three-game absence is already the longest stretch that James has missed this season after being sidelined for the first 14 games of the NBA season with lower back and right leg sciatica. He’s considered day to day, and fans will have to wait to see if Thursday is that day or not.
