David Adelman took the time to praise Strawther for being so adaptable in his role this season.

One thing that's been in short supply for the Denver Nuggets this season has been consistency, both in terms of how they've played as a team and who exactly has been on the court at any given time.

Injuries have robbed the Nuggets of a consistent lineup throughout the season and as of late, the Nuggets have cycled through absolute blowout losses and victories that better represent the brand of basketball that has made the Nuggets so successful in recent years.

Their most recent game, a 129-93 win over the Houston Rockets, was an example of the latter. The blowout win is a crucial one for the Nuggets as it gives them the advantage in the season, which as head coach David Adelman pointed out after the game, is key when the race in the Western Conference is as tight as it is.

Finding Consistency

The biggest task for Adelman this season has been finding rotations that have worked with whatever situation the Nuggets have had to work with health-wise at any given point of the season.

Part of that constant shifting of rotations means that some role players have been given bigger places in the lineup than they might have expected at times, and thrived in those new roles, before inevitably being placed back down further on the depth chart.

One of the biggest examples of that fluctuation has been Julian Strawther. He's started 12 games this season, triple the amount of games he's started in his prior two seasons combined, but now that the Nuggets have their stars healthy again, Strawther has a different spot in the rotation, but it's something he's taken in stride.

That willingness to contribute wherever he can has made a huge impression on Adelman.

Praising Strawther

"I take him out of the rotation. I put him in a 30 point game and he played. I think that's what all these guys do. They just have to stay ready... I just need each guy to stay positive to themselves and know that the goal is for the team. And this is one of those examples of what we can be," Adelman said (via Nuggets).

Team mentality is huge for any contender, but it's something that's been tested the most for the Nuggets and with the way that they took down the Rockets bodes well for the Nuggets and the way they can reset their season and head into the playoffs going strong.

Consistent play from the whole team is going to be key to keep up that momentum, but the effort from players like Strawther at the foundational level is what's going to give them legs when it matters net.
