The Denver Nuggets bounced back in a big way on Saturday night, picking up a much-needed 130-112 victory over the Phoenix Suns on the road.

After dropping a tough NBA Cup game to the San Antonio Spurs the night before, head coach David Adelman had plenty to say about his team's response.

Adelman Delivers Strong Message in Locker Room

After the win, Adelman praised his team's defensive effort and the way multiple players contributed throughout the game.

"Just the overall effort defensively - flying around. I really thought it was a consistent effort throughout the night," Adelman said. "Awesome team win. A bunch of different people in different segments of the game had moments."

The win improved Denver to 14-5 on the season while dropping Phoenix to 12-9, and it marked the Nuggets' seventh straight road victory.

Even with starters Aaron Gordon and Christian Braun sidelined due to injuries, Adelman got strong performances from players up and down the roster.

Bench Leads the Way in Phoenix

Nikola Jokic led the way with 26 points, nine rebounds, and ten assists on a perfect 7-for-7 shooting night from the field, coming just one rebound short of another triple-double.

Jamal Murray added 24 points and knocked down five three-pointers, but it was Denver's bench that really made the difference.

Tim Hardaway Jr. caught fire and matched his season high with 23 points while draining a season-best seven three-pointers.

Bruce Brown ran the offense well with ten assists and just one turnover, and Spencer Jones posted career highs in both points (16) and rebounds (9) while shooting 4-of-6 from beyond the arc.

As a team, the Nuggets shot an incredible 22-of-38 from three-point range, good for 57.9 percent and tying their season high for made threes. They've now hit 60 three-pointers over their last three games combined.

Denver Navigating Tough Schedule

Adelman also touched on the challenges his team has faced with their demanding travel schedule, noting that the Nuggets haven't spent two straight games in the same city since early November.

Still, the team has found a way to thrive on the road despite the constant movement.

The Nuggets have gone 7-0 on the road during this stretch while going just 7-5 at home, an unusual trend for a team that typically dominates at Ball Arena.

Denver's schedule won't get any easier as they continue bouncing between cities through mid-December, but performances like Saturday's show they have the depth to handle it.

With Jokic averaging 29.1 points, 12.6 rebounds, and 11.0 assists per game this season and the supporting cast stepping up when needed, the Nuggets look like legitimate contenders in the Western Conference once again.

They'll host the Dallas Mavericks on Monday night as they look to keep their momentum going.
