

The Denver Nuggets fell to the Golden State Warriors 128-117 Sunday night as their up-and-down stretch continues, and with the loss the Nuggets fall behind the Warriors 1-2 in the season.
Both of those losses have been on the road at Chase Center this season, and as time goes on it's revealing a trend for the Nuggets that sways toward struggling in the Bay. losse
Overall, the Nuggets have had the Warriors' number. They're an astounding 110-88 against Golden State and since the 2016-17 season they've gone 19-14 against them.
But, the major outlier in that record lies in the games that Denver had to play on the road. Despite their overall success, the Nuggets are just 37-63 against the Warriors on the road.

David Gonzales-Imagn ImagesWhile Denver head coach David Adelman remains confident in the Nuggets' overall chances in the Bay, he admitted that the Nuggets didn't make things easy on themselves with the way they played on Sunday.
“We've won here a lot. We've had game winners here, all those things. But yeah, they play with a great intensity defensively here. They ratchet it up and it doesn't matter who's playing," Adelman said (via Nuggets). "We made it difficult on ourselves because we didn't compete on the other end until the third quarter."

The Warriors nearly triple the amount of threes that the Nuggets did, 21 triples to just eight, and while it was a solid night from beyond the arc for the Warriors at 40%, it was a desolate shooting night for the Nuggets at just 26% from three.
Adelman went on to give credit to the atmosphere that Warriors fans create that makes it so tough for the Nuggets to play on the road. He said that not only is the atmosphere at Chase Center, but the atmosphere at Oracle Arena was just as formidable.

He praised the toughness of players like Gary Payton II and De'Anthony Melton for making it difficult for the Nuggets to get an offensive groove going.
But more than anything else, Adelman put the blame on his team for not playing up to the standard or approaching the game the right way as the reasons behind their loss.
