The Denver Nuggets look to snap their two-game losing streak on Monday when they remain on the road for a showdown with the Philadelphia 76ers. The game will be nationally televised on Peacock.
The Nuggets have lost four of their last five, and with injuries to Nikola Jokic and Jonas Valančiūnas, they are looking for someone to step up.
The Nuggets currently sit at fourth in West.
The Sixers are currently on a roll, with wins in three straight contests. They are coming off a victory over the New York Knicks and have positioned themselves fifth in the East.
Fans hoping to see any of the top players on Denver's squad will be disappointed, as all five players from their opening night starting lineup are listed as OUT.
Jokic remains out for the next few weeks with a left knee bone bruise. Cameron Johnson is also out for a number of weeks with a right knee bone bruise.
Jamal Murray, who has missed only one game all season, is listed as out with a left ankle sprain. Murray played nearly 40 minutes against the Brooklyn Nets on Sunday.
Christian Braun (left ankle sprain) and Aaron Grodon (right hamstring strain) are also out for the Denver.
Braun returned to the lineup on Sunday, playing his first game since December 12. He played 24 minutes, scoring three points and grabbing two rebounds. He had been sidelined with an ankle injury.
Gordon also returned to the lineup on Sunday against the Nets, playing his first game since November 21. He played 21 minutes, scoring 20 points to go along with six rebounds. He was sidelined with a hamstring injury.
The injury report doesn't stop there, as Jonas Valančiūnas (right calf strain), Tim Hardaway Jr (illness), and Tamar Bates (left foot surgery) are all also out for Denver.
Hardaway Jr is a new addition as he played on Sunday, finishing with 26 points in 33 minutes.
With Denver being on a back-to-back, the team is being cautious with their player management.
The Sixers are in much better shape than the Nuggets, as only Kelly Oubre Jr (left knee sprain) and Trendon Watford (left adductor strain), MarJon Beauchamp, and Johni Broome are listed as OUT.
Oubre has been sidelined since November 14.
Joel Embiid (left knee injury management; right ankle soreness ) is listed as PROBABLE. He's played in three straight contests.
