Structural Changes

Some of the aforementioned quality of life additions include "wider entrances, exists and concourses" to better assist with foot traffic within the stadium, as well as "upgraded technology to help shorten wait times," though Ball Stadium's post didn't specify what the upgraded technology will be.

The final addition that Ball Arena's post announced is one that comes naturally with any new stadium renovation: luxury clubs. The post stated that three new clubs will be added to the stadium, including one with direct access to "reserved 100-level seating."

Per a press release posted on X by Vinny Benedeto, the renovations will cost an estimated $135 million and per Ball Arena's announcement, the project will be completed in phases, with an expected completion time by the beginning of the 2028-29 season, so construction should be rapid if they adhere to the estimated timeline.

Investing in Fan Experience

One of the biggest benefits for a team owned by KSE is the fact that Kroenke has an abundance of capital and an extreme willingness to invest said capital in both team development and amenities for fans.

Ball Arena, opened in 1999, hasn't had any major renovations since it was first opened. The Nuggets were second in home attendance during the 2025-26 season, with 812,868 fans crossing the doors of Ball Arena, so these new renovations are sure to be felt and that astronomical figure also makes the emphasis on widening passages seem more relevant.

The Nuggets, despite the budgetary constraints of the team due to the second apron, are one of the premier teams in the NBA and still a team with both superstar talent in Nikola Jokic and Jamal Murray and a team with continued championship aspirations.

Now, over the course of several seasons, they'll have a stadium that will match that level of prestige.
