The Denver Nuggets could welcome back Peyton Watson against the Portland Trail Blazers

The Denver Nuggets will look to keep pace in the Western Conference when they take on the Portland Trail Blazers on Sunday. 

The Nuggets are coming off a 121-115 victory over the Toronto Raptors in their last contest. They have traded wins and losses in their last five games. They are 6-4 in their last ten and 43-28 overall. They sit fifth in the West, lumped with the Houston Rockets and Minnesota Timberwolves. 

The Trail Blazers have won three straight, knocking off the Minnesota Timberwolves 108-104 in their last game. They are 6-4 in their last ten and 35-36 overall. They've climbed to eighth in the West, just ahead of the Los Angeles Clippers and Golden State Warriors. 

This is the third meeting between the two teams. The season series is even at one. The Nuggets won the last meeting, 157-103, on February 20. 

Denver Nuggets Injury Report

Peyton Watson is officially listed as QUESTIONABLE with right hamstring strain, but he will reportedly make his return to the lineup. Watson has been sidelined since February 4. In 49 games this season, he is averaging 14.9 points, 4.9 rebounds, and two assists while shooting 41% from three. 

He was inserted into the starting lineup earlier in the year when Denver had multiple starters out with injury, but is expected to come off the bench in this game. 

DaRon Holmes II, Curtis Jones, and KJ Simpson are all AVAILABLE on G-League deals. 

Portland Trail Blazers Injury Report

Jerami Grant is QUESTIONABLE with left foot soreness. Grant played 32 minutes against the Timberwolves, finishing with 26 points, five rebounds, and one assist. He hasn't missed a game since January 18. He is averaging 18.6 points, 3.5 rebounds, and 2.2 assists in 55 games this season. 

Vit Krejci is listed as QUESTIONABLE with a left calf contusion. He has missed the lst three games for the Blazers. He was acquired from the Atlanta Hawks before the NBA trade deadline passed. He is averaging 7.4 points, 2.8 rebounds, and 1.8 assists while shooting 30% from three in 18 games with the Blazers.

Shaedon Sharpe is OUT with a left fibula stress reaction. He's been sidelined since February 6, when he left a game against the Memphis Grizzlies after playing 14 minutes with the injury. He was set to be reevaluated in four to six weeks as of February 24. 

Damian Lillard is OUT with left Achilles tendon injury management. He underwent surgery in the offseason and won't play this season.

Caleb Love, Yang Hansen, and Chris Youngblood are all OUT on G-League deals.
