Indiana Pacers guard Andrew Nembhard has received some big predictions for the 2026-27 NBA season.
Throughout the course of the 2025-26 NBA season, the Indiana Pacers saw Andrew Nembhard put up career numbers. He assumed the full-time point guard duties in Tyrese Haliburton's absence due to a torn Achilles suffered in Game 7 of the NBA Finals the year before.
Nembhard, who has steadily shown improvement on both sides of the ball throughout his first four seasons, looked great. He played in 57 games, averaging 16.9 points per game to go along with 7.7 assists, 2.8 rebounds, and 0.9 steals. The 26-year-old guard also shot 44.2 percent from the floor and knocked down 36.1 percent of his three-point attempts.
Heading into the upcoming 2026-27 season, some Pacers fans have wondered what they should expect from Nembhard now that Haliburton will resume his point guard duties.
Back in the 2024-25 season with Haliburton leading the back-court, Nembhard posted much lower numbers. He averaged 10 points, five assists, 3.3 rebounds, and 1.2 steals per game, while shooting 45.8 percent and 29.1 percent from three-point distance.
With that being said, some new projections have been suggested for Nembhard this year.
RotoWire has released their predictions for Nembhard's numbers. Indiana fans are going to like the projections.
They believe that the 26-year-old guard will average 16.5 points, 6.8 assists, 3.6 rebounds, and 1.1 steals per contest. Producing those numbers would put the Pacers in a great position.
Having Haliburton back on the court will make Indiana a much more dangerous team already. Seeing Nembhard continue producing at the level he showed last season alongside of Haliburton would make the Pacers' back-court one of the most dangerous in the NBA.
Both Haliburton and Nembhard have proven themselves capable of being high-profile playmakers. Nembhard is much more of a defensive threat than Haliburton, but they're also both capable scorers. Having them playing at such a high level at the same time would be difficult for opposing defenses to stop.
Nembhard is going to be one of the big X-Factors for Indiana this season. No single player can dictate a deep run in the postseason, but Nembhard comes as close to that as any player in the league.
Should the Pacers have such a dynamic one-two punch in the back-court, they will have a good shot at picking up where they left off. Another deep playoff run could be in store.
Only time will tell, but these numbers would be exactly what Indiana is hoping for.
