The Indiana Pacers have reportedly added four new players before the start of training camp.
The Indiana Pacers are set to open up training camp for the 2026-27 NBA season on September 29. With just around two weeks remaining until the team is back on the court, Kevin Pritchard and the front office got busy adding more bodies.
According to a report from Sports Illustrated's Alex Golden, the Pacers have signed four new players to training camp contracts.
"The Indiana Pacers are signing the following to training camp deals per source: Wade Taylor IV, Keion Brooks, Cameron Hildreth, M.J. Iraldi," Golden reported on X.
None of those four players are going to make the final regular season roster. They will simply be with the team for extra bodies during training camp. However, these roster moves are necessary as the team prepares for its season opener on October 21 against the New Orleans Pelicans on the road.
With that being said, who are the four players that Indiana has reportedly signed?
Taylor played college ball for Texas A&M for four seasons between 2021-22 and 2024-25. He had a big junior season with the Aggies, averaging 19.1 points, four assists, 3.5 rebounds, and 1.8 steals per game, while shooting 36.6 percent from the floor and 32.5 percent from the three-point line.
Brooks, a native of Fort Wayne, Indiana, played the 2024-25 NBA season with the Pelicans. He appeared in 14 games and made six starts. In those appearances, Brooks averaged 10.1 points, 4.1 rebounds, and 0.9 assists per game.
Hildreth played his college career at Wake Forest. He spent four years with the Demon Deacons. In his senior season, he averaged 14.7 points, 3.8 rebounds, 2.7 assists, and 1.7 steals.
Finally, Iraldi played the 2025-26 season with the Pacers' G-League affiliate, the Noblesville Boom. He played well, averaging 11.7 points per game to go along with 4.6 rebounds and 2.8 assists.
As previously mentioned, fans are not going to see these players at the NBA level barring a completely unforeseen situation coming up. Instead, they are likely to be able to watch them at the G-League level. Perhaps they will stick with the Boom this season.
Only time will tell, but Indiana seems to have rounded out its roster for training camp. The Pacers do have an open roster spot, which some have urged them to use on re-signing veteran forward James Johnson.
The 2026-27 NBA season is right around the corner. For Pacers fans, the year can't get here soon enough following the brutal 19-63 campaign from last season.
