An NBA insider thinks that one potential target could make sense for the Indiana Pacers.
The Indiana Pacers are going to be a team worth keeping a very close eye on entering the upcoming 2026 NBA offseason.
After making a run to Game 7 of the NBA Finals last season, the Pacers went 19-63 this year. They unfortunately lost their first-round pick to the Los Angeles Clippers, but they still seem motivated to be aggressive.
Kevin Pritchard and company badly want to bring a championship to Indiana. The roster in place will have a chance to compete for one, but an addition or two could be needed as well.
Keeping that in mind, quite a few potential targets have been brought up for the Pacers.
NBA insider Sam Amico thinks that Chicago Bulls wing Isaac Okoro could make a lot of sense in Indiana. If the Bulls are open to the idea of trading, Amico detailed why he could be the right target for the Pacers.
"The Pacers already know they can score when healthy. Getting Tyrese Haliburton back next season changes everything offensively after he missed this past year recovering from his Achilles injury," Amico wrote.
"Add in Pascal Siakam and newcomer Ivica Zubac, and Indiana’s foundation suddenly looks pretty solid again. What the Pacers could still use is perimeter toughness and defensive pressure. That’s where Okoro fits."
Okoro spent the first five years of his NBA career with the Cleveland Cavaliers after being drafted No. 5 overall in the 2020 NBA Draft. Last season, he had a big role in Chicago.
During the 2025-26 season, Okoro played in 63 games and made 62 starts. He averaged 9.3 points per game to go along with 2.7 rebounds and 1.6 assists, while shooting 46 percent from the floor and 33 percent from the three-point line.
Indiana is known for hard-nosed defense. Okoro would fit into that system.
Whether or not the Pacers actually have interest in the 25-year-old wing or not remains to be seen. He could make sense in Indiana if the price tag was right.
Expect to hear plenty of rumors and speculation about the Pacers as the offseason gets underway. Okoro is a name at least worth keeping an eye on.
