Indiana Pacers star point guard Tyrese Haliburton received a strong message from NFL superstar Micah Parsons.
The NBA Playoffs have officially come to an end. For the Indiana Pacers, they were painful to watch after making a run to the NBA Finals last season.
Unfortunately, the Pacers were forced to play without star point guard Tyrese Haliburton for the entire season after he tore his Achilles during Game 7 of the Finals against the Oklahoma City Thunder.
While the playoffs were entertaining and the New York Knicks came out victorious, one NFL superstar missed Indiana and Haliburton. That superstar was none other than Green Bay Packers pass rusher Micah Parsons.
Parsons took to social media on June 15 to send a message to Haliburton and the Pacers. He felt that the playoffs weren't the same without Haliburton on the court.
"The nba missed Haliburton this year!! Playoffs wasn’t the same without him!" Parsons wrote.
Last season, the Pacers were pure basketball entertainment in the playoffs. They pulled off multiple improbable comebacks and hit insane game-winning shots. Haliburton was the one who made most of those game-winning attempts.
Despite the disappointment that the 2025-26 NBA season was for Indiana, Haliburton and company are motivated to get back on track next year.
Haliburton will be back to full health. The Pacers will also still have most of their key players from the NBA Finals team. Indiana will have a chance to be right back in the mix.
Heading into the NBA offseason, the Pacers will also have a chance to improve their roster. Kevin Pritchard and company don't have a draft pick and won't have much financial flexibility, but they have found ways to get creative in the past.
Fans should expect to see an aggressive approach from Indiana this offseason. Pritchard himself has promised as much.
“We are in win-now, and we’re gonna try and make moves this summer,” Pritchard said. “Maybe around the edges, maybe big. But we’ll see about that.”
No one knows exactly what to expect from the Pacers this offseason. However, it's clear that they are in championship or bust mode and will do everything they can to bring Indiana's first NBA championship home.
For Parsons and many other fans, seeing Haliburton back on the court will be a major win for both the NBA and the Pacers.
