Tyrese Haliburton received a 90 overall rating in NBA 2K27, down from 93 last year, after missing the entire 2025-26 season with a torn Achilles.
Indiana Pacers star guard Tyrese Haliburton is a 90 overall in NBA 2K27, down three points from the 93 he carried in NBA 2K26.
Haliburton missed all of last season. He tore his right Achilles tendon on a non-contact drive in Game 7 of the 2025 NBA Finals on June 22. Oklahoma City and Indiana were tied 16-16 at the time, and Haliburton had made three 3-pointers. The Thunder won 103-91 for the championship. Haliburton had surgery the next day, and Kevin Pritchard ruled him out for the season on July 7, 2025.
"I don't know if I'll ever get over it," Haliburton said on the "Numbers On The Board" podcast.
Haliburton said Aug. 12 that his rehabilitation was finished and that he needed no more time.
"If the season was today, I'd be ready," Haliburton said.
Haliburton is the highest-rated player on the Pacers' roster. Pascal Siakam is second at 87 and Ivica Zubac third at 84.
Haliburton ranks 20th in the NBA 2K27 Top 100. Anthony Davis shares the 90 at No. 21, and Jamal Murray is next at 89.
His three-point rating of 87 is the highest on the Indiana roster. His driving dunk is a 65. 2K gave him 22 badges and lists him at 6-foot-5 as a point guard and shooting guard on a Crafty Offensive Engine build.
Pacers coach Rick Carlisle has had Haliburton in five-on-five work for months.
"It's going to be a bit of a journey for him," Carlisle said after Indiana's Summer League win over Cleveland.
Haliburton averaged 18.6 points, 3.5 rebounds, and 9.2 assists in 73 games in 2024-25, his last full season. He added 1.4 steals a game. He shot 47.3% from the floor and 38.8% from 3-point range and was named to the All-NBA Third Team. In 23 playoff games that spring, Haliburton averaged 17.3 points, 5.3 rebounds, and 8.6 assists.
Indiana went 19-63 without him. The 63 losses were a franchise record. Only one NBA team finished with a worse record.
Haliburton was diagnosed with facial shingles on Feb. 22, costing him weeks of the winter. He had worked up to full-court four-on-four against team interns and reserves by late January.
"Shingles is basically behind me now, for the most part," Haliburton said on The Pat McAfee Show.
Chris Haynes reported in July that Indiana expected Haliburton to be available for the opener.
Haliburton will make $48.9 million this season, the fourth year of a five-year, $244 million extension he signed in July 2023. The deal pays $52.3 million in 2027-28 and $55.7 million in 2028-29.
Indiana opens Oct. 21 at New Orleans and hosts Dallas on Oct. 23. The Pacers play the champion New York Knicks at Gainbridge Fieldhouse on Nov. 13 in an NBA Cup game.
