Indiana Pacers All-Star forward Pascal Siakam will be a pivotal piece on the roster for the upcoming season.
The Indiana Pacers enter the 2026-27 season looking to jump back into contention after a gap year in the 2025-26 season as star guard Tyrese Haliburton tore his Achilles in Game 7 of the 2025 NBA Finals.
However, it won't just be on Haliburton for the Pacers to compete in the Eastern Conference; they will also need All-Star forward Pascal Siakam to play at a high level.
Siakam is coming off a great season as the lead option for Indiana, averaging 24 points per game along with 6.6 rebounds, 3.8 assists, and 1.1 steals per game, shooting 48.4 percent from the field and 35.8 percent from three.
The 32-year-old was a dynamic player and has proven that he can be a great complementary player with the Pacers. In the 2024-25 season alongside Siakam, he averaged 20.2 points, 6.9 rebounds, and 3.4 assists per game while shooting 51.9 percent from the floor and 38.9 percent from behind the arc.
Ahead of the 2026-27 season, Indiana didn't make many changes to the roster that went to the NBA Finals in the 2024-25 season. The only significant changes are Ivica Zubac as the starting center and Kelly Oubre as a quality free-agent addition.
With the new pieces in place, Siakam will still be a focal piece for the Pacers.

Pascal Siakam Statline: 21.3 PPG, 6.5 RPG, 3.6 APG, 1.0 SPG, 0.5 BPG. 50.7% FG, 37.6% 3P, 72% FT
Siakam is poised for a strong season, especially with Haliburton returning. Haliburton is one of the best playmakers in the league, which will generate easier looks for Siakam and help him be more efficient in the upcoming season.
His rebounding numbers could drop slightly as Zubac is one of the best rebounding bigs in the league. In the 2025-26 season, Zubac averaged 10.6 rebounds per game.
Siakam will still be one of the team's leading rebounders, but Zubac cleaning the glass will allow Siakam to get out in transition more often.
The Pacers have a ton of depth and are destined to be one of the contenders in the East, but they will need Siakam and the others to play at a high level against teams like the New York Knicks, Miami Heat, Philadelphia 76ers, and more.
