The post-deadline New Orleans Pelicans face off against the Minnesota Timberwolves on Friday night.
The trade deadline has passed, and the New Orleans Pelicans only made one deal in sending away Jose Alvarado. Now, they travel to take on the Minnesota Timberwolves on Friday night.
It wasn't the deadline that many Pelicans fans wanted, only adding Dalen Terry and two second-round picks. They certainly did get a bit worse, but not enough to fully change the outlook of the team.
The Timberwolves also made a couple of moves, but not the big Giannis Antetokounmpo deal that they were projected to make. Mike Conley, Rob Dillingham and Leonard Miller were all sent out. Ayo Dosunmo and Julian Phillips were added, but aren't being activated yet.
This is the third meeting between the two squads, with the first two coming in early December. Minnesota won them both, but New Orleans did play close.
