The New Orleans Pelicans begin a six-game road trip against a struggling, tanking Utah Jazz squad.
The New Orleans Pelicans are kicking off their six-game road trip on Thursday night against the Utah Jazz. The first of two games in a row against them.
The Pelicans have won their last two games and four out of their last six. They are hitting a stride as they get healthy and move away from focusing on the rookies' playtime. They are certainly favored to win against this Jazz squad.
Utah is clearly focused on getting as high of a draft position as possible. They have shutdown a couple of starters already and could be looking at even more. While the players that suit up will be trying hard, the management clearly is not.

New Orleans Pelicans vs. Utah Jazz Injury Updates
The Pelicans will be without Trey Murphy III, Yves Missi, Hunter Dickinson and Trey Alexander in this game. That is a good thing, as it means that rookie forward Micah Peavy is going to be active for the first time in four games.
It'll be interesting to see what Peavy's involvement is with all of the changes that have been made to the rotation in his short time away.
Now, New Orleans is just waiting on Murphy and Missi. There hasn't been much released about what Missi is going through, but it seems like Murphy isn't too far away from playing.
The Jazz are without a number of major contributors, as mentioned before. Jaren Jackson Jr., Walker Kessler, Jusuf Nurkic and Vince Williams Jr. are all out. Lauri Markkanen and Keyonte George are questionable.
Given that Utah clearly doesn't want to win another game this season, it would be a shock to see Markkanen or George suit up.
This team is one of the main reasons that the anti-tank rules are going to be implemented.
