The New Orleans Pelicans clash with the struggling Dallas Mavericks. A pivotal home game looms, impacting draft odds and momentum. Key injuries and betting lines dissected.

The New Orleans Pelicans begin a quick four-game home stand on Monday night as the Dallas Mavericks come to town.

The Pelicans are now 22-46. This would be a big win as the Mavericks are one game ahead of them in the standings, with this as an opportunity to jump another team and worsen the odds of the pick going to the Atlanta Hawks.

Dallas is just 2-8 in their last 10 games, with a win on the road against the Cleveland Cavaliers on Monday night.

New Orleans Pelicans vs. Dallas Mavericks Injury Updates

Dejounte Murray was listed as questionable with an illness, but that is the only change for New Orleans. Bryce McGowens remains out with a right small toe fracture, the only injury.

Missing Murray would hurt, as he's been playing on another level over these past few games. He's looked good since coming back from his Achilles tear, and the Pelicans are much better with him in the lineup right now.

Dallas has a bit longer injury report. Klay Thompson is doubtful for the rest of the back-to-back. Daniel Gafford is doubtful due to an illness. Caleb Martin is questionable with right plantar fascia soreness; he played eight minutes on Sunday. Kyrie Irving and Dereck Lively II are out. Moussa Cisse, John Poulakidas and Tyler Smith are questionable to be called up from the G League.
