The New Orleans Pelicans got back into the win column on Sunday against the Washington Wizards and then were rewarded with two days off. Now, they return on Wednesday night against the Toronto Raptors.

The Pelicans are now 21-45, matching their win total from last season. They have 16 games left to improve on that and build some momentum going into the offseason.

The Raptors are 36-28 and are the five-seed in the East. They are in the middle of a  playoff push and fending off the Miami Heat and several teams right below them. It'll be a much different feeling than playing the Wizards.

New Orleans Pelicans vs. Toronto Raptors Injury Updates

New Orleans is still about as healthy as they have been recently, but is down a role player in this, as Bryce McGowens hit the injury report with a small toe fracture and has been ruled out.

It's unclear just how impactful this will be, but a tough break down the stretch of what has been a life-changing year for the forward.

McGowens rose from a fringe NBA player to a three-year deal with New Orleans. He is averaging 8.1 points, 2.1 rebounds and 1.5 assists with 48.1/40.9/77.9 shooting splits this year. That efficiency from three has been game-changing off the bench.

Toronto is dealing with a few more injuries. Collin-Murray Boyles has been ruled out with a left thumb sprain. Jakob Poeltl (illness) and Trayce Jackson-Davis (dislocated finger) are listed as questionable.

Poeltl missed the last game and Jackson-Davis hasn't played in the last few games, but he isn't in the rotation much anyway.
