Game Preview: New Orleans Pelicans at Orlando Magic - 1/11/26 cover image

New Orleans Pelicans seek a second-straight win as they close out this road trip against the Orlando Magic on Sunday afternoon.

The New Orleans Pelicans finally broke their nine-game losing streak in their last game and will search to behind a winning streak against the Orlando Magic.

This is the last game of the three-game road trip, so it would be nice to get another win to make it successful.

The Magic are a good team, but they aren’t at full strength right now. They have split their last 10 games and have losses against the Washington Wizards and Charlotte Hornets in that span.

At the very least, this is a winnable game for the Pelicans.

New Orleans Pelicans at Orlando Magic Injury Updates

Herb Jones, Saddiq Bey, Jose Alvarado and Dejounte Murray have all been ruled out.

Bey had been upgraded from being ruled out the day before the game to being doubtful. He won't play, but that's positive movement for an important role player. It signals that a return could happen soon.

Jones remains out for what will be his third game in a row and 18th game this season. This ankle issue has been a major thorn in New Orleans' side as they desperately need his defense to help them put together some wins.

The Magic will be without Franz Wagner, Jalen Suggs and Colin Castleon for sure. Tristan da Silva is listed as questionable and Mo Wagner is listed as probable, playing his first game since tearing his ACL last season.

Suggs and Franz Wagner are big pieces of the Orlando game plan that have missed a lot of time this year with injury. The Magic are still a fine team without them, but just not as good.
