It looks as though the New Orleans Pelicans are calling it a season with just a few games left, as the injury report continues to grow and veterans lean towards sitting.

Here's the latest release from the Pelicans, ahead of their matchup with the Boston Celtics on Friday night:

Bryce McGowens (toe fracture) - Out
Yves Missi (hand sprain) - Out
Trey Murphy (ankle sprain) - Out
Dejounte Murray (hand contusion) - Out
Zion Williamson (knee injury management) - Out
Saddiq Bey (rest) - Questionable
Herb Jones (rest) - Questionable
Karlo Matkovic (back injury management) - Questionable

Derik Queen, Jeremiah Fears and Micah Peavy all made starts last game. Jordan Hawkins and Jordan Poole got extended playtime. Hunter Dickinson, Trey Alexander and Josh Oduro all played. It looks like that will continue to be the group over these final games.

The Celtics are playing the New York Knicks on Thursday night, so they have not revealed an injury report for this game yet. Here's what they were working with as of that game:

Jaylen Brown (Achilles tendonitis) - Out
Sam Hauser (back spasm) - Available
Neemias Queta (toe sprain) - Available
Derrick White (knee contusion) - Available

It'll be interesting to see who ends up playing in the back-to-back, given that that usually complicates things for people dealing with injuries. It's a lot of stress to put on someone's body that isn't 100%.

Seeing as though the Knicks game was a bit more important, it's clear why they would push to play in that one. The Pelicans are a less stressful opponent.

Brown was questionable before this game, but ended up being ruled out. He is someone who could return on Friday for sure.
