Despite Saddiq Bey's 32 points, the New Orleans Pelicans faltered late, extending their losing streak against the Orlando Magic.

The New Orleans Pelicans fought hard to break their losing streak on Sunday night, but couldn't as the Orlando Magic rode a strong fourth quarter to a 112-108 Easter victory.

The Pelicans don't have much left to play for, but James Borrego laid out a goal to win the final two home games. This was the first one. The crowd was treated to a nice show, but they weren’t able to pull it off.

New Orleans has just one remaining home game, on Tuesday against the Utah Jazz.

Yves Missi and Saddiq Bey were the only two Pelicans players to have standout performances, but they were both good.

Missi had a season-high 18 points to go along with 13 rebounds, three assists and four blocks. He was an active participant all night long. His development has been a rare bright spot in this disappointing campaign.

Bey has possibly been the biggest bright spot on the team. He was acquired as a throw-in piece of the Jordan Poole-CJ McCollum trade and has been one of the three best players on the team.

The 26-year-old had 32 points, his fifth 30-point game of the season. He'll be making just $6.4 million next year, one of the best values in the NBA. The Pelicans should probably figure out an extension at some point this offseason.

There wasn't much else to take away from the loss at this point. The starting lineup did solid, but the bench wasn't. Hunter Dickinson and Trey Alexander got minutes in this one, which shows how dire the situation is.
