The New Orleans Pelicans have had horrible injury luck for years, and that hasn't changed this season, but they did receive some good news in this latest injury report ahead of Saturday's game against the Brooklyn Nets.

This is how the Pelicans injury situation looks now:

Yves Missi (right foot/ankle sprain) - Questionable
Herb Jones (right calf strain) - Out
Dejounte Murray (right Achilles rupture) - Out
Jordan Poole (left quad strain) - Out
Zion Williamson (right adductor strain) - Out
Hunter Dickinson (G League two-way) - Out

It's nothing major yet, but the fact that Yves Missi is already back to at least questionable is a great sign. Missi had been playing some great basketball for his injury and should provide New Orleans with a much-needed defensive boot in the front court.

While Derik Queen is the more dynamic offensive threat, Missi is leagues better on the defensive end and is more athletic than anyone else. The 21-year-old has been playing the sport for just six years and is still raw, but progressing well.

Missi has been out since the November 30 matchup with the Los Angeles Lakers. It looks like it'll be a short absence, even if he doesn't come back for this game.

Here is how things stand for the Brooklyn Nets:

Noah Clowney (back soreness) - Probable
Cam Thomas (left hamstring strain) - Out
Nolan Traore (G League on assignment) - Out
Haywood Highsmith (knee surgery injury recovery) - Out
Tyson Etienne (G League two-way) - Out
E.J. Liddell (G League two-way) - Out

Noah Clowney is a name to watch as he has been in the middle of the best stretch of his career. He's averaging 20.3 points, 3.7 rebounds and 2.4 assists over his last seven outing.

Cam Thomas being out is a big problem avoided for the Pelicans. He's been out for a few weeks but is nearing a return. He's averaging 21.4 points when playing this season.
