The New Orleans Pelicans have just one game left before the All-Star break as the Miami Heat come to town on Wednesday night.
The Pelicans have won their last two games and are slight favorites to make it three in a row. They are facing an injured Heat squad that is 5-5 in its last 10 games, just like New Orleans.
It isn't all smooth sailing on the injury front for the Pelicans, though, as a role player was recently added to the report ahead of the game.
Here's what the New Orleans injury report looks like now:
Trey Alexander (G League two-way) - Out
Hunter Dickinson (G League two-way) - Out
Dejounte Murray (right Achilles rupture) - Out
Micah Peavy (right great toe sprain) - Questionable
Peavy played just five minutes against the Sacramento Kings on Monday, which wasn't too surprising as his minutes have been massively cut over the last five games. This injury could have played into it a bit, though, as his status for this match is up in the air.
Even if the rookie does get activated, he probably won't see the floor much. The Pelicans have been shifting further towards their veterans as they try to pick up more wins in the second half of the season.
Murray has returned to practice, but there is nothing new as to when he'll actually return. James Borrego said more will come after the break.
Here is how things are looking for Miami:
Tyler Herro (right costochondral injury to the ribs) - Out
Pelle Larsson (right forearm strain) - Out
Norman Powell (low back tightness) - Out
Terry Rozier (not with team) - Out
Vladislav Goldin (G League two-way) - Out
Keshad Johnson (G League on assignment) - Out
Andrew Wiggins (left toe inflammation) - Questionable
The Heat got Powell back for a couple of games, but he missed their last one and they fell to the Utah Jazz. He averages 23 points, 3.6 rebounds and 2.6 assists on 47.4/39.6/84.3 shooting splits. Miami is 3-8 without him this season.
If Wiggins misses too, their offense could sputter. He picked up a ton of slack with Powell gone in the Heat's last game with 26 points.
New Orleans and Miami will face off at 7 pm CT on Wednesday night in the Smoothie King Center.
