The New Orleans Pelicans have room left for one more player on their roster, as well as one more two-way contract. They have already brought in some intriguing names to try out for those spots in training camp, but they shouldn't quit looking on the open market for talent.

One area that the Pelicans could still improve is three-point shooting. They haven't done anything to address that this offseason, and were one of the worst teams last year. While they might not bring in someone who is going to shoot eight threes per game for them, they can still find someone who can fill a role and provide an offensive spark.

Here are some remaining free agents who would make sense for New Orleans to bring to camp to at least try out:

SG Malachi Smith

Smith was a solid college player who averaged 19.9 points as a leader for Chattanooga, but accepted a sixth-man role for a chance to win a championship with Gonzaga as a senior. He went undrafted back in 2023 and has been developing in the G League since.

The 26-year-old saw his first NBA action for the Brooklyn Nets last season. He put up 8.3 points, 3.4 rebounds and 3.3 assists with 0.8 steals per game on 48.5/43.5/1.000 shooting splits over a 15-game stretch. It was a small sample size, but it showed a lot of what he needed to in order to impress. He would be worth a look, at least.

G Sean Pedulla

Pedulla was recently let go by the Los Angeles Clippers after they signed a more established depth guard, but it's clear that Pedulla that has a ton of talent and should stick around on a roster in some sort of role. Perhaps another two-way deal, as well.

The 23-year-old didn't see the floor much as a rookie in the NBA, but he dominated the G League and won Rookie of the Year. He posted 23.6 points, 5.1 rebound and 6.8 assists with 1.2 steals on 41.6/35.5/92.0 shooting splits.

G Aaron Holiday

Holiday has less upside with Smith or Pedulla, but he is an established, solid bench guard. He has done a solid job for the Houston Rockets over the past few years. Over eight seasons, he has shot 38.4% from three and is an aggressive on-ball defender. The Pelicans do want to compete this year, so someone like Holiday would probably provide better minutes than Jordan Poole or Jordan Hawkins off the bench.
