Trey Murphy III returns for the New Orleans Pelicans, boosting their win streak. Zion Williamson's availability is uncertain after an ankle scare.
The New Orleans Pelicans delivered just about the best news possible when they released their latest injury report ahead of Sunday's game against the Los Angeles Clippers.
Here is how the report looks for the Pelicans:
Trey Alexander (G League two-way) - Out
Hunter Dickinson (G League two-way) - Out
Zion Williamson (right ankle sprain) - Questionable
Dejounte Murray (injury management) - Available
Trey Murphy III (right shoulder contusion) - Available
The biggest positive is Murphy being made available for return after his five-game absence. He suffered this shoulder injury against the Miami Heat right before the All-Star Break.
Getting Murphy back while already on a four-game win streak is exciting. The team is already playing its best basketball of the year, and now they get someone back who is averaging 24.9 points per game in 2026.
Williamson's questionable status is a good sign after he suffered an ankle injury early against the Utah Jazz on Saturday, and he was forced to leave the game early.
He has played in the last 35 games, which is the longest active streak of his career. Seeing that end would be unfortunate, but not as bad as it could have been earlier in the year.
Murray being made available was expected, as he was held out of the last game so that he could be ready for this one.
Here is what the Clippers are working with:
Bradley Beal (left hip fracture) - Out
Darius Garland (left toe injury management) - Out
John Collins (head laceration/neck soreness) - Questionable
Kawhi Leonard missed their last game, but he is going to be available for this one. Collins has missed their last couple of outings and would be an impactful return if he does end up playing.
