Key New Orleans Pelicans players are potentially sidelined as new injuries emerge ahead of Friday's game against the Portland Trail Blazers.

The New Orleans Pelicans are trying to put an end to their five-game losing streak on Friday night as the Portland Trail Blazers come to town. The Trail Blazers aren't having the season they had hoped for either, with both squads going through their own injury troubles.

For the Pelicans, they could have some new injury issues as two players popped up on the report with new designations on Thursday.

Here is the New Orleans injury report ahead of the game:

Herb Jones (right ankle sprain) - Out
Dejounte Murray (right Achilles rupture) - Out
Saddiq Bey (right hip soreness) - Questionable
Derik Queen (left quad contusion) - Questionable
Hunter Dickinson (G League two-way) - Out

This is the first time that Queen has found himself on the injury report. While it's good that he's not being ruled out a day before the game, the Pelicans would probably just prefer that he stay completely off of it.

No one plays a full season anymore, though, so it was only a matter of time that Queen miss a game. It's nothing to worry about yet, but worth keeping an eye on.

Bey's shot has been off since that dominant first quarter against the New York Knicks, with him coming up short often. It could be good to get him some rest as he's had a lot on his plate over the past few weeks or so, especially in his first season back from injury.

Nothing else stands out for New Orleans.

Here are how the Trail Blazers' injury situation looks ahead of the game:

Jerami Grant (left Achillies tendonitis) - Out
Scoot Henderson (left hamstring tear) - Out
Jrue Holiday (right calf strain) - Out
Damian Lillard (left Achilles tendon management) - Out
Matisse Thybulle (right knee tendinopathy) - Out
Blake Wesley (right foot fracture) - Out

Most of these injuries have bitten Portland for much of this season. The only player here that played the last time these two teams faced off was Grant and he's been out for a couple of weeks now.

The Pelicans will take on the Trail Blazers at home on Friday night, with tip off at 7pm CT.
