In the Pistons offense, Cade Cunningham frequently runs into opportunities where he can drive then kick the ball from the paint to the corner once the defense sags inward to stop ball, which had made the Detroit corner three-ball opportunity a valuable role if the team can make it work. Based on last year’s numbers, the Pistons will have two players who could really seize that facet of the Detroit playbook in Isaiah Joe and Javonte Green, the latter of which is returning after shooting 50% from the corner a year ago. Green did not have an overwhelming amount of opportunities from there, so it will be important to watch whether that becomes a larger part of the Pistons game plan in the 2026-27 campaign.
