Winners in 9 of their last 10 games, the Detroit Pistons were taken to overtime last night by the Cleveland Cavaliers but walked away with a narrow three-point victory, 122-119. In the extended contest, both Ausar Thompson and Jalen Duren broke the 35-minute threshold and excelled every step they took on the court.

For JD, the big man finished with 33 points, a whopping 16 boards and 3 blocks in his 42 minutes of action, while Ausar put forth 19 points, 8 rebounds, 5 assists, 2 steald and 1 blocks in the big OT win over their Central Division rivals.

For much of the year, Pistons head coach J.B. Bickerstaff has opted to err on the side of caution when it comes to utilizing the rotation to avoid the wear and tear that comes with the grueling 82-game regular season. That philosophy has become evident given how JB has deployed JD and Ausar, but the dynamic duo looked virtually unstoppable last night once the reins were off.

Do you think JB should be playing Ausar and JD more often? JD averages 28 minutes per game, while Thompson averages 26, just for reference.
