The Detroit Pistons have a new way to follow along with the team throughout the 2026-27 campaign

Just ahead of the opening for Detroit Pistons training camp, the team announced that they have a new solution for Motown fans who are looking to stream their favorite hoops team throughout the 2026-27 campaign.

Earlier in the offseason, the Pistons revealed that they’ll be broadcasting their games free over the air all across the state of Michigan, but there’s now a new streaming option that leads to Detroit basketball thanks to the organization’s partnership with DAZN, one that’s designed to add flexibility and ease-of-use into the lives of Motor City sports fans.

With a monthly price tag of $20 or a full season option of $120, DAZN will create a team-branded streaming service with the Pistons that is direct-to-consumer in format. The new streaming product aims to expand access to Pistons games with live and on-demand viewing options, plus there should be a plethora of avenues for enhanced viewing across connected devices.

Last season, the Pistons ranked No. 4 in the NBA in terms of total home fan attendance with 806,422 individuals entering Little Caesars Arena to watch some Detroit basketball. On the scale for average attendance, the Pistons slid to a still-respectable fifth-place position behind only the Chicago Bulls, Denver Nuggets, New York Knicks and Miami Heat.

During the 2024-25 campaign, the Pistons ranked just 9th for average attendance each night, so it is clear that the Detroit community came out to show their support for the squad’s success last season. That’s what securing the top seed in the conference will do for a team whose fan base is desperate for some postseason success. Before the last two years— so essentially before head coach J.B. Bickerstaff arrived in the Motor City, the Pistons had been shutout of the playoffs going on five consecutive seasons.

Turning the franchise around was no easy task, but it’s one that Bickerstaff committed to alongside Cade Cunningham and Jalen Duren. Together, that group represented the Pistons at the All-Star Game last season, and they’re a big reason why there is so much excitement around the upcoming season. After having a taste of success in the playoffs, the Pistons feel motivated to make a deeper run next time they’re in that high-stakes postseason position, and fans of the team will likely be able to follow along using DAZN’s new streaming service unless those games are flexed to national broadcasts. Either way, the Pistons’ new streaming options will open up doors for people and far and wide to consume some Detroit basketball.
