The Toronto Raptors forward was part of a special "Team Stars" squad.

Veteran forward Scottie Barnes has not only led the Toronto Raptors to their best season in years thus far, but he played a key role in the most successful All-Star Game in years.

Barnes was part of a "Team Stars" squad that won the three-team tournament on Sunday, which included "Team Stripes" and "Team World." The 24-year-old opened up about the experience, via the Raptors' social media.

"We had a deep group here, Coach [Darko Rajakovic] as well," he said. "Collin [Murray-Boyles], Brandon [Ingram], AJ [Lawson], Alijah [Martin], they're all here. It was just a special moment. Special."

Rajakovic is Toronto's head coach, while the rest of those names are Barnes' teammates. Ingram was a fellow All-Star, Murray-Boyles was a Rising Star, and Rajakovic coached Team World.

Team Stripes was the older All-Stars from the United States, Team Stars was the younger ones, and Team World was everyone else.

Barnes notched three points (1-1 FG, 1-1 3-point) with five rebounds, two assists, one steal, and one block in a 37-35 win over Team World in Game 1 of the round robin tournament.

Barnes hit a three-pointer in overtime to seal the victory, and Team World big man Victor Wembanyama angrily walked off the court in defeat.

Team Stripes then beat Team Stars 42-40 in Game 2 before eliminating Team World with a 48-45 victory in Game 3. That set up a winner-take-all final between Stars and Stripes, which Stars won 47-21. Barnes notched six points (3-3 FG), four rebounds, and one assist over six minutes.

Team Stars guard Anthony Edwards admitted that Wembanyama "set the tone" for the All-Star Game with his intensity during his MVP victory speech. The USA vs. World format was a resounding success for the NBA, as its 8.8 million viewers across NBC networks were an 87 percent increase on last year's game, per Front Office Sports.

Meanwhile, Ingram was an injury replacement for Golden State Warriors superstar Steph Curry on Team Stripes, and Murray-Boyles was on Team Melo in Friday's Castrol Rising Stars Challenge. The Raptors were well-represented at All-Star Weekend, which was fitting given that they're on pace to make the playoffs for the first time since 2022.

Up next for Toronto is a road date with the Chicago Bulls on Thursday before another road game against the Milwaukee Bucks on Sunday. After that it will host the Oklahoma City Thunder and the San Antonio Spurs, respectively.
