As the clock wound down in the Toronto Raptors’ summer league game against the Indiana Pacers on Monday, the Raptors were in need of one defensive stop as they held a narrow 94-93 lead.

With just under three seconds left, Pacers big Rienk Mast received the ball in the paint with a chance to hit a game-winning floater. Instead, Raptors guard Seth Lundy had other plans, swatting the shot all the way to the middle of the court, sealing the gritty win for Toronto.

The emphatic block was the icing on the cake for Lundy’s effort on Monday, but also resembled the type of competitor he is on the court. Lundy, who is 6-foot-4, elevated to impressive heights to secure the block on Mast, who is 6-foot-10.

That wasn’t Lundy’s only stamp on the game. He was everywhere for the Raptors on the court, as he has been in each of their first three summer league games.

In his first three games, Lundy has averaged 20.3 points per game and four rebounds. He has been a very efficient shooting threat, shooting 51.2% from the field and 44.4% from three, while accumulating an impressive plus-minus of +32.

Monday was yet another standout performance from Lundy. The guard scored 22 points on 8-of-13 shooting, while converting 4-of-7 shots from beyond the arc. It was his second consecutive game where he dropped at least 20 points, as he scored 23 against the Houston Rockets on Saturday.

Down the stretch of the game, Lundy made a huge impact on all ends of the floor. A couple of clutch three-pointers, a steal and a big assist all led to the clutch swat to win the game, capping off a very efficient outing for Lundy.

Lundy had a poor start to the summer when he inefficiently shot 4-of-15 from the field and 2-of-11 from deep in the team’s first game, but has bounced back since in a large way. He has proved that when he is on, he is a very efficient catch-and-shoot guy from beyond the arc.

The 26-year-old last played parts of nine games with the Atlanta Hawks during the 2023-24 season when he was on a two-way contract with the team, and has spent time in the Los Angeles Clippers’ organization since.

Upon signing with the Raptors for the summer league, Lundy has put himself on the organization’s radar with his versatility on the court. If he were to earn his way to the Raptors 905, which is likely the way he has been playing, he can polish his game even further to find his way to contribute on an NBA standard deal.
